- I have been injured in a car accident, can you review my chart and tell me if I have a case? No, Legal nurse consultants do not work directly for the client. We work for the attorney but we are nurses, not attorneys, the legal matters are handled by an attorney. You might consider asking your attorney if he/she uses legal nurse consultants. Generally the legal nurse consultant or life care planner only interviews the client at the attorneys request.
- Can you recommend a good attorney to me as I was injured in the hospital? No. We work with many great attorneys but it would be a conflict of interests to recommend an attorney to you. There are several ways to locate an attorney: referrals from a friend, local bar associations, websites that assist with attorney selection process by identifying the type of attorney you need such as FindLaw.com, advertisements, etc.
- Would you consider working on a contingency basis? No. It would be unethical to work on a contingency basis as that arrangement might subconsciously bias any opinion we might render. We work from an established fee schedule which we will be happy to forward to you if you wish.
- Are you available to work for defense attorneys? Yes. We are available to work for plaintiff counsel, defense counsel, insurance companies, or government agencies.
